Why is it that feminism has such a stigma attached to it, a stereotypical notion that we’re all vehement, militant, baby-killing, men-hating nutjobs? I just don’t get why it’s so hard for some people to believe that modern feminism is based in equity, fairness, and an awareness of what’s going on in the world in those terms.

On CNN, a professor referred to Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell as a “whore,” and the host told her to “keep going.”
This was wrong. No woman should be called a whore. Completely unnecessary, completely inappropriate.
