Let me just say that Hooters is taking its cold war with fidelity to a whole ‘nother level!
Okay, there’s very little argument that the main reason to hit up Hooters involves wings. If my male friends are any indication, getting a pic with a big-breasted Hooters girl is kind of a rite of passage. Plus, their wings are mediocre at best.
But back to the point, which is that a New York City Hooters restaurant is bringing the fight home … and directly to the wedding bed.
Despite Estee Lauder’s evident view to the contrary, Ciudad Juarez is arguably Mexico’s darkest blot, a place where women walk violence-riddled streets to work ridiculous hours in sweatshops. I hate political ads. The exaggerations, half-truths, and skewed use of data intended to convince the ignorant just really piss me off—and this is true on both sides of the political spectrum. I was watching the news with my mother a couple of weeks ago, and we noticed an interesting trend—lumping the Democratic candidate in with Nancy Pelosi.
Yeah, it’s true, Nancy Pelosi has evidently become the anti-Christ, at least if the political advertisements of New Hampshire were any indication. It got down to pretty low levels, too—“She’s running for the state house of representatives and has never even met Nancy Pelosi … BUT SHE AGREES WITH HER AND IS JUST LIKE HER SO DON’T VOTE FOR HER!”
My mother and I had kind of an interesting conversation about just what Nancy Pelosi’s done that’s so bad and came up with a list no more or less glaring than any other politician’s. The fact remains, though, that Pelosi was unquestionably the whipping girl in the recent elections—so what does this mean for her political future?
Perhaps the only bright point of the recent deplorable head-stomping incident at the recent debate between Rand Paul and Jack Conway is that it has perhaps started to open the eyes of sane and normal Americans to how truly dangerous some of the Tea Partiers really are.
You see, it turns out this was not an isolated incident, with an October 15th attack on a protester at a Washington State Tea Party stalwart’s headquarters flying beneath the radar until Lauren Valle’s unspeakable treatment at the hands of a bunch of nuts in Kentucky.
