This coming June will mark the second year of Soapbox’s Feminist Summer Camp. The name, Feminist Summer Camp, can certainly be misleading. This is not a camp where counselors skip scary stories, opting instead to read The Feminine Mystique, nor is it a camp where the s’mores are toasted over a pit of burning bras. What Feminist Summer Camp is is an intensive, weeklong program designed by Soapbox to help college students get their foot in the door of New York’s activism scene.
