1959, You're the one who has no substance to actually make some kind of valid point about anything other than calling someone a name. If you're going to call someone out on not having intelligence you might want to show some yourself first. I read the ridiculous mission vacuous statement.

You cannot make feminism "whichever way someone feels the need to perceive it." That is the most ridiculous assessment of feminism i have ever heard. It's people like you who water down feminism into pop nonsense.

I think your response might have been one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Why don't you go back and read the mission statement and then have something moderately intelligent to refute with?

sorry, but feminism is not open to be whatever someone wants it to be. by that logic, someone could say "i beat my wife and that is feminism to me".

I think you need to re-read the mission statement and sort of decipher its meaning. Feminism can be feminism in whichever way someone feels the need to perceive it. You, yourself, sound like an informed individual, albeit a more radical variation of "feminist", and can further tailor your tastes to something that you consider to be more radically palatable, correct?

Dear Sasha,

I have been following Zelda Lily site since its inception and have noticed that the original message seems to be deviating from its purported purpose of communicating a 'softer' or more palatable version of feminism. It seems that lately some of the commentary has been weak in critical analysis and I have found myself disappointed. At first I was posting the articles I loved on my Facebook profile because I was so enamored with the cognizant posting. Now I have found myself somewhat embarrassed to be reading the newer posts. If you would like specific examples I would be happy to provide those, however I have noted that the most offensively lackadaisical commentary has been contributed by Sarah. I believe she has effective communication skills, however I do not find her positions to be consistent with a position I would describe as feminist (even in a bra). I have found her stance to be too apathetic to situations surrounding important issues. I would like to see the main contributors to this site educated in woman's studies, critical theory, or another area that prepared them for the nuanced world of engaging the issues of oppression that aim to silence women, particularily minority women.

Thank you for your time.
