I really thought that giving Carl Paladino two months to be involved with some scandal that made a mockery of his already ridiculous comments about the gay community was really generous. Two whole months! He had two. Whole. Months.
And he only took two days!
Apparently, the New York State liquor licensing records show that Paladino rented space in at least two of his buildings to gay clubs! And that his son operated one of these clubs! Ironically, one of the clubs describes itself as “a bar where anyone and everyone …
… is welcome (and) prejudices are left at the door.”
Damn, I guess this is where the whole “functional” versus “dysfunctional” “homosexual” distinction comes in. But I’ve got it all figured out! Functional homosexuals are the ones that make Carl Paladino money!
In all seriousness, it really is sickening to see how bigoted individuals such as Paladino stop caring about who someone is when they’re getting money from them. The thing that’s even worse? Is that Paladino isn’t the first of his kind, nor will he be the last.
The Huffington Post is also quoting Paladino as “apologizing” for his comments the other day that may have “offended” members of the gay community and their families. One of his excuses is that he “chose his words poorly.” His official statement is as follows:
Yesterday I was handed a script. I redacted some contents that were unacceptable. I did also say some things for which I should have chosen better words. I said other things that the press misinterpreted and misstated,” Paladino said in a Facebook note. I sincerely apologize for any comment that may have offended the Gay and Lesbian Community or their family members. Any reference to branding an entire community based on a small representation of them is wrong.
Thanks for apologizing, Mr. Paladino! You’re really making all us members of the queer community feel better about your bigoted comments by saying that you should have chosen better words. It doesn’t matter how you say these things: your ignorance and homophobia still stick out like a sore thumb. You’re not apologizing for being intolerant and pledging to change your ways, you’re apologizing that people ‘took offense’ to your comments. And that is unacceptable, much like your ‘money rules all’ state of mind. One is just as sickening as the other.

Hey now, in his defense he thought calling the gays “dysfunctional homosexuals” was one of the things that went too far.
Eh, that’s all I’ve got. He’s still a homophobe.
He seems to be like a mob type dude, therefore,he’s too respectable for politics!
