Clarence Thomas’ Ex Says He Was Obsessed With Porn

I find it hilarious that in an effort to shame Anita Hill, Virginia Thomas has managed to single-handedly shine a glaring light right back onto her Supreme Court justice husband Clarence Thomas.  Lillian McEwan, an ex-lover and colleague of Clarence, has come out of the wood work to peg him as a porn enthusiast and a fan of big ol’ boobs.  Also, thanks to Clarence’s name being out there once again, McEwan is writing a book all about him.  Well done, Virginia Thomas!

It was nearly 20 years ago when Clarence Thomas’ face was plastered on every newspaper, thanks to the allegations that he had sexually harassed Anita Hill.  I was …

… a kid when the hearings went on, but I can still remember how outraged my mom was over the whole thing.  It was during this time when I first realized that sex, power, and scandals were almost always coupled together.  Especially in politics.  The widespread media attention surrounding Clarence Thomas’ confirmation hearings was its own class on sex, women’s empowerment, and gender struggles for me.  I learned a lot from the Clarence Thomas scandal, and even more from the strength of Anita Hill.  Funny thing is –  most of the world had long forgotten about Clarence Thomas.  That is, until his wife deemed it necessary to do some harassing of Anita Hill on her own.

All in all, it appears that Clarence has some cripplingly terrible karma.  It seems that his ex-lover has quite the story to tell.  Lillian McEwan, who spent 1981 through 1986 in Clarence’s constant company, has gone ahead and told numerous media outlets that Thomas was obsessed with big breasts and just adored him some porn, and it didn’t end just at that – he apparently trolled his workplace for women that were well-endowed:

In an interview with the Post, according to McEwan, “He was always actively watching the women he worked with to see if they could be potential partners,” adding that he was particularly “partial to women with large breasts” and even would ask woman about their bra size. He was obsessed with porn,” she said. “He would talk about what he had seen in magazines and films, if there was something worth noting.”

I wonder how long it will be before Lillian McEwan receives a scathing voicemail from Virginia Thomas?

  1. Innocent until proven guilty, can’t imagine that an ex-lover would be bias, and guess what, she will no doubt make a few bucks off of this book! Maybe she’ll donate the proceeds to a rape and abuse crisis center,I’m not holding my breath.

  2. It’s the same old story of a woman scorned. The problem is Virginia Thomas won’t let sleeping dogs lie. Whatever her intent was for Anita Hill certainly backfired. She has now brought her husband back into the limelight for all the wrong reasons. What was she thinking? And now we have Lillian McEwan; another character in this twisted tale. Move over Tiger Woods, Brett Favre, Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson. You can all take a sigh of relief for a little while. Clarence Thomas is taking over you spots.

  3. Whether or not Clarence Thomas is guilty, his wife is an idiot because this had all been forgotten. I had never heard of this before, and I never would have if not for Ms. Thomas.

  4. I had never heard of this either, it was totally before my time. I was 3 when this all went down. Now a whole new generation gets to know how perverted Clarence Thomas is, thanks to his wife!

  5. You girls are making me feel old. That same year Michael Landon died, and Jeffery Dahmer was eating his murder victims. It was a lovely time.

  6. Poor Joey. I remember it. I was a teenager, but I’ve been watching the news since I was 10. Maybe that’s why I have a prescription for Xanax at 35…
