Gloria Feldt, if you’re unfamiliar with her, is a leader in the feminist movement, as well as author and public speaker. Feldt was most famous for being the former CEO and President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Anyway, about her recent interview — what do you think? Do you agree with Gloria Feldt’s brand of feminism? Do you agree with her comments on Sarah Palin, and whether or not she’s a feminist?
Feminism has changed men, Feldt claims, more than anything, and today’s society has become so saturated with feminism, that hardly anyone realizes that it exists. Do you think this is correct, or could “hardly realizing it exists” drive us back a few decades?
Moreover, what is your opinion of Gloria Feldt?

I don’t know anything about Gloria Feldt, but from this clip she seems to be a rational, straightforward person. I understand her sentiment about feminism being so ingrained that it’s almost invisible, and to some extent I think that’s true. Most people in my generation don’t seem to think that a woman shouldn’t go to college or shouldn’t pursue careers. However, I think there are still struggles with this that flare up. There are still so many people (Ladies Against Feminism, anyone?) who believe that anyone who believes in feminism is an angry, ugly man-lesbian, and for this reason I think feminism still hasn’t blended into society completely.
