I’ve been a long-time fan of Betty White. I used to watch The Golden Girls religiously with my grandmother, and even after my grandmother passed several years ago, I still have that undeniable penchant to cuddle up late at night and watch episodes featuring Rose herself, Sophia, Blanche and Dorothy. It’s like she’s almost right there sometimes.
It’s years later and I still think my Nana — an equally strong, amazing lady with a bangin’ sense of humor — would find White’s comedy still relevant in an age where America’s first black President exists, the threat of nuclear weapons is more real than ever and yet people are still the tender-hearted souls inside, although many just won’t admit it anymore.
Ladies have come so far and I think Betty White is one woman who completely epitomizes a meaningful part of the movement.
Watch the clips above featuring White’s promos for her upcoming stint as host on Saturday Night Live and laugh. If you don’t laugh at least once during the short video, there’s definitely something anti-American about you. Or at least anti-Betty White, which some might consider to be worse.
Enjoy!

I like Betty White. She’s definitely not sensitive about her age–the youth-obsessed celebs half her age need to take notes.
