Jennifer Lopez (unsurprisingly) is still catching some flack for wearing a nude-ish catsuit for her performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
Many people are up in arms, stating that Lopez looked ‘fat’ and that the bodysuit simulated ‘elephant skin’. Despite the fact that some were adverse to Lopez’s once-again eye-popping sense of fashion, there were just as many in support — primarily men.
Personally, I think she looked great. For a women who bore twins and whose not getting any younger, Lopez looks phenomenal. She’d look amazing for a nineteen year-old. It’s the new year and it still sickens me that women can’t be more supporting of their fellow women. Fat, thin, short, tall … it shouldn’t matter. Lopez looked great onstage and had no problem shaking her stuff in next to nothing. She, clearly, has more confidence in her little finger than most women do in their whole body — that’s what women have a problem with; not the fact that Jenny “from the block” might not be as perfect as she once was.
What did you guys think? Were you coherent enough New Year’s Eve to even pay attention to the costume J. Lo was shimmying around in onstage?

To write an objective response,I did the proper You-tube research. Then I saw my grey hair reflection on my screen. Now I’m crying like a small child and heading for the liquor cabinet. Life may begin at forty,but it pretty much ends at sixty.

I think it’s classless. She could have looked just as good covering up her girly bits. Showing all strikes me as desperate attention seeking which is never sexy in mind.
No nipples, no bush. That’s covered.
Personally, I think she looks amaaaaaazing. Shit. People were saying she looks fat? Are you fucking kidding? Where are people getting these anorexic standards from?
I’m with you,as feminists you should celebrate the fact that she has nice womanly hips and normal size breasts. She is beautiful.
i just think it’s plain ugly–the suit, that is. not JLo. I have nothing against her wearing a good-looking body suit…but this one a) is a weird and not very flattering color and b) does not seem to fit her perfectly (see: all the wrinkles). That’s my only problem! Otherwise, i say, you go girl.
I see nothing wrong with it, and God, if you exist and you’re reading this, can I PLEASE have that body when I’m her age? Scrap that – can I have that body, NOW? She looks amazing. Not amazing for her age, nah, just plainly amazing. The suit might not be very classy, but she’s performing.
I think she could have done better. It would have looked ridiculous even when she was at her hottest but now that her butt is starting to sag and so on it just looks pathetic, like she’s trying to cling to lost youth. She’s still pretty darn smoking hot and she could have looked amazing up there wearing a better outfit but instead she just looks desperate.
She is by no means fat, but the suit was poorly fitted and made her appear to be paunchy. Instead of flaunting what she’s got, it made her look deflated. Next time, get a good tailor and rock what your momma gave you!

She’s still hot but she’s not immune to aging. She’s getting older (pushing 40 if memory serves) and she’s had kids so her body has changed since she first appeared on the scene. Compare her butt there to her butt 10 years ago and you’ll see definite sagging. Still looks better than many women half her age but most of them wouldn’t be prancing around in a nude suit.
I don’t see the paunch, but her ass is not as high as it was 10 years ago.
Of course, adding 10 years of age to a phenomenal ass still leaves you with a really good ass.
She would have looked prettier if she covered up a bit and just wore a nice mini dress. I wish famous women would dress classier and set a positive example to young women that you don’t have to expose yourself to get ahead. All I will remember about this decade is everyone flashing their crotches! ew!
I didn’t think she looked fat but I did think she was pregnant again. I had to look it up just to find out she wasn’t.
She looks great; just a poor wardrobe choice.
I think she has a great body, but this really doesn’t display it well. She doesn’t look too great here, and I think she lost an opportunity to wear something actually flattering and look incredible, rather than just looking okay *despite* her outfit.
Let’s start with the outfit itself:
It is horrific. One might even go so far as to say that it should be dragged into the woods, shot, and buried in a shallow grave.
But enough about the outfit.
Ms. Lopez herself looks lovely, but wearing something like that was tacky and tasteless. Please…..leave SOMETHING to the imagination, won’t you?
I read some gossip articles on how her tush didn’t look good because it was smaller now then 20 years ago. Now or then, one could only wish.
As for the outfit, I also believe that she could have picked something much more classy to wear. She’s beautiful and could flaunt it much better, but then again, it probably wouldn’t stick in people’s minds and be talked about. That’s the way to stay in front of the public.
She’s 40, almost 41, and a mother. I’m all for expressing yourself sexually, but come on. This is tasteless and a little over the top. I would absolutely die if my mother wore this in public, and yes, my mother DOES look this great, and she’s 48. I hope I look that fantastic when I’m that age, but I also hope that I have the class and dignity to cover up and look like a lady. I feel the same way about Madonna. Yes, you’re both performers, but does your talent lie in your scantily clad outfits, or your moves and voice?
I think the oufit makes her look like a sparkley member of the olympic bobsled team.
Her body’s amazing, there is no need for her to go out of her way to look this silly.
