b4s_lambert1124_95364cWell, national television has done it again and I’m calling “sorry-assed judgment” on it.

Good Morning America has never been one to shy away from controversy and this time — well, this time they haven’t, either.  To the contrary: they’ve actually stirred it up more than ever before and encouraged the brou-ha-ha surrounding Adam Lambert’s performance on the recent American Music Awards with some homo-avoidant behavior.

After Adam Lambert’s “X”-rated, crotch-bulging, anal-fisting performance at the American Music Awards (which I thought was the hotness), he’s been barred from performing on Good Morning America. However, in recent guest lineups, they have Chris “Mashed Rihanna” Brown slated to appear for interview and performance.  Good Morning America found it in their hearts to forgive frequently-blacks-out-from-anger woman-beaters but in the same bated breath are too prude to succumb to the awesomeness and sexual naiveté that is Adam Lambert.

Good Morning America, get your prude, pink, chubby fist out of your ass — like, yesterday.

Who’s next, OJ Simpson via live feed from prison?

Frankly, I think Adam Lambert is a total attention-whore who likes to shock people. I find him relatively distasteful, and I have no problem with GMA feeling the same way.

That being said, however, why in the HELL are they bringing Chris Brown on?

  2. Matrim says:

While I don’t have any opinion on Adam Lambert (before they started plastering his pictures everywhere after his recent performance I doubt I would’ve recognized him if I saw him on the street) I don’t have a problem with them canceling his act if it was too raunchy (Good Morning America isn’t exactly the forefront of liberal entertainment)…but letting Chris Brown on is fucking rediculous. Not ridiculous; REdiculous…which is when something is so ridiculous that it actually compounds on itself.

Adam Lambert cooked his own goose on this one

  4. Thalie says:

That’s so outrageous. Inviting Chris Brown gives a message to every woman who is a victime of domestic violence : yeah, go to the police, be brave enough to denounce your husband but it doesn’t matter, his life won’t change, he won’t go to jail and everyone will stay nice with him.

Chris Brown belongs to jail, he should be put completely out of mind. Letting him talk on national television is so much more offensive than a gay kiss. What a good message to send to millions of gay kids…

    • Rhonda says:

We’re not just talking a gay kiss. We’re talking simulated sex acts including oral and fisting. It’s one thing to put that on late at night but it’s wholly inappropriate on morning TV when there are kids watching and people eating breakfast. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to see fisting before I have my morning coffee. I agree that Chris Brown has no place there but neither does Adam Lambert. It’s not like they’re the only two celebs.

      • Sydney says:

Agreed. His shenanigans are the definition of tasteless and unnecessary.

      • Thalie says:

Well I’d rather avoid fisting on breakfast or any time a day, that’s for sure. But his performance was during an award show, I don’t think he would have reproduced it on GMA.

        • Megan says:

I agree with Thalie. I think we all know that Lambert was looking for attention during his AMA performance.

Personally, I enjoyed it, but I can definitely see where some people would say it went to far.

Lambert’s not stupid. I’m pretty sure he would have known that that sort of stuff wouldn’t be appropriate on a morning show.

Chris Brown may not be getting up there and beating any women on stage, but he’s still a horrible person who did horrible things who doesn’t deserve the adoration that he currently receives.

“Condoning violence” sounds a whole lot worse than “condoning sex,” now doesn’t it?

Adam used shock value to distract from the fact that his song sucked. It was cheap and desperate.
