The next person who tries to tell me that dogs are better than cats because cats are dumb and don’t understand anything is being sent directly to this page to watch this video. Unless they live outside of the US, because it’s Hulu and so I don’t think you can watch it if you live out of the country. (Sorry ’bout that.)

I really hope these cats are treated humanely. A lot of circus animals aren’t :(
I think this is the guy that kinda figures out what the cats are good at. He says that you can’t train a cat to do something it doesn’t want to do, you can only encourage it to do what it already wants to do.
That sounds pretty humane.
I have worked with the trainers at Sea World Aurora, and a lot of the “tricks” the animals do are taken from their natural behavior. Say you notice that one whale loves to turn 2 circles in the air when playing, that behavior will then be rewarded anytime he does it, hence “training” him to do it on command.
And before I get jumped on, “no” I don’t support the exploitation and inhumane treatment of animals. In fact I have rallied against it in many ways and forms
My cat is very smart, but she also does whatever the hell she wants. That’s just the way cats are.

Cats are the best. I love dogs too, but I always grew up with cats because my dad doesn’t like dogs after having a few bad experiences. We kind of forced cats on him so we could have pets. :)
I would also much rather deal with a litter box than the dog smell I get after petting them. I don’t know what it is but even with the cleanest dogs I feel dirty and smelly after petting a dog. I want a Boston Terrier though once I get a place that can have dogs. I just love animals!
Mice are brilliant, you can never catch them. They get the cheese every time.
I once lived in a tiny little one room, non insulated house. Mice ran through the walls. I was 17 and pregnant and appropriately freaked out by the whole situation. I had my uncle set mouse traps in the corner near my “kitchen.”
I would hear the trap go off, tiptoe over to see the sad little mouse corpse, and…no mouse. My marker was in the trap and the cheese was gone. They also used my plastic spider ring, occasionally.
No shit. I was the only person in the house and I checked the trap right after I heard it go off. Mice are freaky smart!

To those who live outside america, you can downoload a little program called “hotspot shield” and it hides your IP so you can watch hulu.. that’s what I do and it works
