The newest face of American cool stumbled through her acceptance speech at the MTV Movie Awards and then accidentally dropped her golden popcorn statue on the floor.
Stoned? Apathetic? Just cooler than you?
I don’t know, but I kind of love that the Next Big Thing is as much of a klutz as I am.
I would find the klutz-moment endearing, if not for the fact that I can’t forgive her for making me die a little inside whenever I see her “acting”.
Damn my sister for making me watch Twilight multiple times (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).
I’m exactly the same. I always drop stuff or fall, then jump around for a couple seconds looking awkward and embarrassed. All my friends say I look a lot like her, which I can’t figure out whether that’s a compliment or not…

Ahhh! I would be so embaressed. I’m a kluts as well, and thats why I hate being in front of a lot of people. I just know I will trip on the way up or something.
But it was kinda funny how she squeals and jumps up and down. I can’t stand her acting, but that was cute.
i get irriated watching anything she is in. she always looks like the wrong side of the tracks girl. it would be great to see her all beautified up. i can’t wait til breaking dawn comes out when she turns into this beautiful vampire

I think she’s just shitting herself… I mean shes said herself she doesn’t like doing interviews etc, I guess shes just not a Miley Cyrus.
She’s not Miley Cyrus as in.. she isn’t an attention whore? It seemed like Kristen was acting like a normal person, while I had to watch Miley’s acceptance speech twice to get it to sink in that she actually opened her mouth and said anything worth hearing. And I’m sure that Lil’ Wayne was soooo pleased to hear that a prissy, rich girl likes his music…. not.
Woah, calm down – it wasn’t a negative comment – I was just saying that some people are naturally confident like Cyrus, and some aren’t.

I think coming back to the microphone for the “that’s probably what you thought I would be like” quip was smart. It made her seem a little more human (no pun intended).
the thing that strikes me odd is that she is talking so freakin fast like a little coke head.
Honestly I can’t stand her. She makes me uncomfortable. She is awkward and comes off as arrogant and even rude at times. As a celebrity, she needs to be comfortable around people and she is so obviously not. Or perhaps she just smokes too much. Either way, I highly dislike her.

I like that she’s a real person who is interested in the occupation of acting and not necessarily dealing with publicity. Acting and publicity only come hand-in-hand due to the media and insane fans. Everyone in the world isn’t completely comfortable talking to other people. I’m sure none of you could carry grace and charisma every time you go out to buy groceries or make an acceptance speech, etc. It’s a fact of life. She’s into film, not theatre acting, which involves a live audience. Give her some space!!! For example, just because your occupation may be picking up cow shit or baby-sitting kids does not mean you grin and bear every moment so that it looks like you are a professional at your job. I like that she hates interviews and is different from other celebrities. She’s a real person; she’s NORMAL. It’s refreshing to see not everyone in the acting bizz is completely materialistic…
I agree with Anna, Kristen Stewart seems VERY uncomfortable and unaccustomed to her newfound fame. She’s perfect as Bella. And just because someone is shy or socially awkward doesn’t mean they are a bitch! She’s been in the biz awhile, but never a household name. And she’s only 18 or 19 years old. Give her a break! I can’t imagine ever feeling comfortable with the intrusive nature of the paparazzi and the fans. Her dropping the award was so awkwardly hilarious. It made her very real. She seems like the kind of person I’d hang out with in real life. She’s the complete opposite of that annoying, immature, loud, self-centered, stuck-up Miley Cyrus.
I agree. She just seemed really nervous, and who wouldn’t be?? There were thousands of people staring at her…I’d probably do the same thing. Just because she didn’t speak perfectly doesn’t mean she was on drugs or hated being there. Geez people, so much hate.
i like that both her AND robert pattinson have the same awkwardness – they are not ready for the fame they just got catapulted towards… it’s gunna take some time… and i like that about them.

Yea. I gotta say, I’m not a huge twilight fan and I’ve never heard of Kristen until all this business, but we should all cut her some slack.
18-19 was awkward for a LOT of people and to boot, her awkwardness is splashed all over the web/tv/etc. And I mean, you’ve got Rob cracking up at her in a way that says, “Oh that’s so Kristen.” and frankly, I think she may come off as arrogant or whatever, but it’s probably just due to the fact that bottom line? She’s super uncomfortable and unsure of how to deal with all this. I mean, twi-freaks are CRAZY. It’s probably reallyreally overwhelming.
I’ve been around a lot of crack and meth heads… And yes she is deffinatley cracked out!
