On a tip from one of our faithful readers, noid_droid, we have confirmation that Italian PM Berlusconi’s wife is filing for divorce. Not a week after the original story regarding Mrs. Berlusconi’s disdain for the Italian Prime Minster broke, it appears that the wife is finally fed up enough to file the appropriate paperwork and get her lovely ass out of this sham of a marriage.
In the article originally published on BBC, the Missus claims that she cannot be with a man that “consorts with” the likes of “minors.” Burn. She’s ultimately making the guy out to be a pedophile; way to amp up the ratings for the upcoming election! The Italian duo, who met while Mrs. Berlusconi was performing in a topless entertainment show, married ten years after their first meeting. The couple’s nineteen-year union now subsequently goes down in a frenzy of pre-pubescent-colored flames.
Mrs. Berlusconi goes on to maintain that her husband had always had a wandering eye and that she is, more or less, flat-out sick of his philandering ways. A few years back, the PM allegedly told another much younger woman that had he not been married and he would marry her right away. Despite a “heartfelt” public apology to his wife after the story came to light (as it always does), the young starlet was later appointed to the final candidate list for office. To me, it doesn’t seem that Berlusconi really has a concrete outlook on the sanctity of marriage. On this topic, Prime Minister Berlusconi states:
“This is a personal matter that saddens me, that is private, and it seems appropriate not to talk about it.”
The couple’s fortune is estimated to be at about $6.5 million dollars or more.
